66 Journal Prompts for Kids for Self Reflection

Journaling is a wonderful activity for children to help track their thoughts, emotions, and feelings. It can be a powerful exercise for children to reflect on their days, and how they respond in certain situations. Journaling is an outlet for children, and can be particularly useful for children who struggle to express themselves verbally.

There are a number of  benefits of journaling for children, but where do you start. There are a number of well designed and thought out kids journals on the market that have journaling prompts to help throughout. However, you may wish to start kids journaling sooner with a notebook or notepad.

To help, we’ve created an extensive list of kids journal prompts that can be used as a starting point for children. Even if your child is not able to write at this stage, the journaling prompts below would be a useful conversation starter with them, to be answered verbally.
